What Would You Do During an Evacuation?
Though a mass evacuation is highly unlikely, wildfires, floods and potentially earthquakes could cause you to evacuate your home. So what would you do? How would anyone know where to find you? How would you get assistance?
AFPAAS, the Air Force Personnel Accountability and Assessment System is your answer. Any time there are military members, families and even NAF and DoD civilian employees involved during a mass evacuation such as Hurricane Katrina and the Fukashima Power Plant disaster, the person or family will be advised to report their status and location via this website and complete an assessment: https://afpaas.af.mil. When web access is unavailable, status can be reported via telephone at 1-800-435-9941.
