All Fools Day Trip to Downtown Grass Valley

Treat yourself to an evening of great food and wine in downtown Grass Valley and let the OAC be your designated driver! Enjoy a "tasting trot" through some of the popular tasting rooms, such as Sierra Star, Avanguardia, Luchessi, and Bent Metal. Winemakers will be on hand to discuss each varietal and provide you insight on the winemaking process as you taste the wines. After your tasting, feel free to sit down and enjoy a dinner at your choice of restaurant in the area. The OAC will gladly drop off patrons at their home on base afterwards.
Beale Falls Day Hike

Join the OAC on a day hike to our backyard as we explore Beale Falls. The hike takes us just over 5 miles through the rolling ranchlands that surround the area. At the end is a beautiful waterfall! Pack a lunch and plenty of water, we will get you there and back.
Trip to the Japanese Cherry Blossom Festival

Spend a lovely spring day in the"City by the Bay" where you will have the opportunity to experience the 50th Cherry Blossom Festival. The 5-acre Japan Center (located at Post and Buchanan streets) will be filled with exquisitely costumed performers and will echo with thunderous rhythms of huge taiko drums, ethereal strains of koto music, cracking of boards being splintered by martial arts and the gentle sounds of tea ceremonies. Not only all this, but there is also a Cultural Food Bazaar! You will have about 6 hours to explore the city after we drop you off at Japan Town. Off-base pickup is available. Drive time: 3 hours each way.

Enjoy a day trip to the Yolo County Fairgrounds to experience a day full of Scottish Culture. There will be people playing bagpipes, highlands dancers, men in kilts, talented entertainers, and more! You aren't required to eat Haggis, but there will be a nice selection of Scottish food as well as American food. Did we also mention that there is a Whiskey Tasting Seminar? Active Duty with ID and children under 7 get in free. Adults $17, children ages 8-17 $8.
