The School-Age Program provides care for children Kindergarten to 12 years old before and after school, on school holidays and during summer vacation. Our program is accredited through the Council on Accreditation (COA), and provides quality care for children of active duty military, DOD and NAF civilians, reservists and base contractors. We promote an enriching environment by meeting the social, cognitive, physical and developmental needs of school-age youth. Fees are based on total family income. The Youth Center is a walking program and walks to and from Lonetree Elementary/Wheatland Charter Academy. Bus transportation to and from Bear River and Wheatland High School is provided by Wheatland Unified.

JUNIOR STAFF
A program that assists Club members ages 13 to 18 in exploring a career in youth or human services. Young people
prepare for future roles as human services professionals by participating in career development activities.

TORCH CLUB
Torch Clubs are chartered small-group leadership and service clubs for boys and girls ages 11-13 focusing on
character development.

POWER HOUR
Power Hour helps Club members ages 6-12 be more successful in school by providing homework help and tutoring
and encouraging members to become self-directed learners.

KEYSTONE CLUB
This unique leadership development experience provides opportunities for young people ages 14 to 18 to participate
in activities in Academic success, career prep and community service.

4-H
Based on their interests and guided by adult mentors, youth develop their own pathway in 4H.
They select from a broad menu of local 4H programs to learn more about.

BOYS AND GIRLS OF AMERICA BGCA
The Youth Center is an affiliate of the BGCA and offers many of their programs, from sports, photography and
homework, there is always something happening.

TEEN COUNCIL
Teen Council is a network of teens working together to resolve issues and voice concerns to leadership.

YOUTH OF THE YEAR
T
he Military Youth of the Year programs offer scholarships and recognition opportunities for military connected teens who have demonstrated exceptional character and accomplishments and are prepared to meet the challenges of adolescence and adulthood. the selected Youth of the Year can compete in installation, state, regional, and national competitions. The National Military Youth of the Year also serves a one-year term as the military youth spokesperson for the Defense Department, the military services, and the Boys & Girls Club.

Youth Sponsorship Request Form

The Youth Sponsorship Program helps relocated youth to become familiar with their new home at Beale AFB, CA. Sponsors are matched to youth according to their gender, age, and interests. The sponsors escort incoming youth around the base, school area, and to the Child and Youth Program Centers. They introduce the new arrival to others within their age/grade level and to various activities.

Steps to enroll in CYP-BMS

  • To begin process for enrollment, please fill out the form below.
  • Families requesting access will receive a time-sensitive registration link for the CYP-BMS Parent Portal.
  • Create your Family Record and profiles for all participating children, set up automatic payment and upload current immunizations.
  • Search for Parent’s Night Out under Camp/Instructional Classes.
